So back to the question of a bug out boat. If you keep your electronics protected from lightning or EMP wihile it is tied to the dock or mooring, have 30 to 60 days for food on board, water, ditto, you should be all set, right? Not unless you have the skills and will power to stay 30 plus days at sea. Here is a short test to see if you can make it. Find a very remote camp site, one with no other folks, and go stay there for a solid week without leaving and no outside interaction with anyone. This is especially true if you plan to solo it. This is not directed at blue water cruisers but to those who have only day tripped or lake sailed.
